Fanfare Surrounds Record-Setting Weekend at FedExPark

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis and Tennessee squared off in a series-deciding game in front of a stadium record attendance of 2,188 Sunday at FedExPark, with the Volunteers coming out on top 10-0. The three-game series set another facility record, attracting 4,793 fans throughout the weekend.

The Tigers dug an early hole with a shaky top of the second inning when Tennessee tagged them for seven runs, six coming against starting pitcher Connor Alexander. The Volunteers slashed four doubles against the junior right-hander before his day ended.

Memphis turned to the bullpen and freshman Tommy Morren entered the game, allowing one more Tennessee run in the second inning.
