MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Freshman Jalen Duren, who turned 18 years old Thursday, scored 22 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked five shots in a 74-62 Memphis Tigers win over Western Kentucky Friday night in Memphis, Tenn.
Duren's outing is the second 20, 19 and five game by a Tiger since 2010-11, joining Precious Achiuwa's Feb. 29, 2020 game at Tulane where he scored 22 points, had 22 rebounds and swatted five shots.
No. 11/16 Memphis (4-0) overcame a 10-point WKU (1-3) lead in the first half, and the Hilltoppers were within six points with 5:55 to play in the game before Memphis pulled away.
