Dedric Lawson Named to Lute Olson Award Watch List

BOSTON, Mass. - University of Memphis sophomore has been named to the Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award, an award that is annually presented to the nation's top NCAA Division I player who has played at least two seasons. Transfers and incoming freshmen are not eligible for the preseason watch list.

Lawson, who was also named to the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year watch list, averaged 15.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in 2015-16. He was named the preseason American Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year. He was named a fourth team preseason All-American by CollegeSportsMadness.
