TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – University of Memphis' and paced the Tigers cross country team's effort at the NCAA South Region Championships Friday morning. The men's 10k and women's 6k races were run at Apalachee Regional Park.
The women's squad finished 19in the team standings. The men's team only raced two runners due to illness and injuries.
Sandwell, a senior who was competing in her fourth-straight NCAA South Region Championships, was the first Tiger to cross the finish line in 95place. On the men's side, Gleason placed 33and became the eighth male runner in program history with a top-50 finish at the regional race.
