The City of Memphis, the City Council and the University of Memphis will honor the late John Bramlett in a ceremony to be held at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the Tigers' game against Ole Miss.
A section of Tiger Lane, which runs from Early Maxwell Boulevard west towards East Parkway and parallel to the Pipkin Center, will now have street signs proclaiming that portion of Tiger Lane as John "Bull" Bramlett Lane.
Plans call for Councilman Bill Boyd, Bramlett's widow, Nancy, sons Andy and Don and their families to be in attendance. Both Andy and Don Bramlett lettered for the Tigers in the mid-1980s.
