PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of Memphis track and field program made it a sweep of the American Athletic Conference Male and Female Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday. Sophomore Cera Chavez took the female accolade, and junior Davon DeMoss received the male honor.
It is the first career conference indoor Athlete of the Week award for both Chavez and DeMoss. Overall, it is Chavez's second weekly honor as she was named the conference's outdoor Female Athlete of the Week May 2, 2017.
