MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers sophomore forward Michael Chappelear has been named to the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team, as voted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference Wednesday.
Chappelear appeared in all 10 matches for the Tigers this season, and he led the club with 12 shots on goal out of 23 tries. He connected on a goal against South Florida on March 13.
The Bluffton, S.C., native averaged over 86 minutes per match this season. He placed multiple shots on-frame in three matches.
Chappelear is one of just nine underclassmen on the AAC's two all-conference teams.
