MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis sophomore Kaylene Castillo tied for 39th in the smallbore competition at the NCAA Rifle Championships in USAFA, Colo. on Friday afternoon.
Castillo capped her season on a high note after qualifying for the NCAA Championships in smallbore as an individual. At the match, Castillo shot a 575 to place in a tie for 39th. On the season, the sophomore finished with season averages of 572.154 in smallbore, 587.25 in air rifle and 1159.404.
"This match was a really great way for Kaylene to wrap up her sophomore year," interim head coach Morgan Phillips remarked.
