INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Carolina and , members of the University of Memphis women's track and field program, both received NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarships for Careers in Athletics, the national office released Thursday.
The mission of the NCAA enhancement programs is to provide qualified minority and female candidates opportunities to pursue careers in intercollegiate athletics through postgraduate scholarships. Twenty-six total scholarships are awarded by the NCAA to 13 ethnic minorities and 13 female college graduate applicants. The scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable grant of $7,500.
The sisters from Lake Forest, Ill., also have been invited to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum (CSF) at the NCAA national office June 2-5.
