PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior Saida Burns-Moore has been named the American Athletic Conference Female Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
It is the second career conference weekly honor for Burns-Moore, and her first accolade this outdoor season. Burns-Moore is the fourth Tiger this season to earn a league weekly honor. Adar Sheere (Male Field/Mar. 19), Ashley Pryke (Female Field/Mar. 26) and Davon DeMoss (Male Track/Apr. 16) also have received weekly conference distinction earlier this campaign.
In the final home meet of her college career at Saturday's Memphis Invitational, Burns-Moore swept the high and triple jump titles and, in the process, set two personal-bests and a reset of her school record.
