PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis' Saida Burns-Moore and Davon DeMoss have been named American Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. Burns-Moore earned the conference's Female Field Athlete of the Week award, and DeMoss the league's Male Track Athlete of the Week distinction.
It is the first weekly honor in Burns-Moore's career at Memphis, and the weekly award was DeMoss' first of his outdoor career. He also was named the conference's Male Track Athlete of the Week once during the 2017-18 indoor season.
It also is the second time this outdoor campaign that Memphis earned two or more honors in the same week.
