The University of Memphis junior point guard, whose last-second jumper beat Temple in overtime Jan. 13, picked a bigger stage for his encore. In Friday's Aaron's American Athletic Conference Championship, Brewton raced downcourt in the closing seconds and lofted a runner from beyond the arc that landed the Tigers in Saturday's semifinals.
Brewton's shot beat the buzzer and lifted the Tigers (21-12) to a 67-64 victory over No. 4 seed Tulsa (19-12) at the Amway Center.
