PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Kareem Brewton Jr. drained a deep 3-pointer in the closing seconds of overtime to lift the University of Memphis to a 75-72 American Athletic Conference victory over Temple Saturday.
Brewton finished with 10 points, but no three bigger in his first season at the UofM. The victory was the Tigers' first road win of the season and the first in nearly a year.
"He got a good clean look, got it off and it went in," said Tigers head coach Tubby Smith. "It would have devastating if we had lost because we had it in our hands.
