MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After leading Memphis to one of its most successful seasons in program history, redshirt senior quarterback Brady White has landed a spot on the 2020 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List, the organization announced Tuesday.
White is one of 30 quarterbacks on the list and one of only three to represent the American Athletic Conference. SMU's Shane Buechele and UCF's Dillon Gabriel also made the list.
In 2019, White threw for a career-high 4,014 yards and 33 touchdowns, becoming just the second quarterback in program history to eclipse 4,000 passing yards in a single season (Riley Ferguson – 4,257 in 2017).
