MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis football's long snapper Preston Brady was named one of 93 players on the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List on Thursday.
Named after 1996 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback from the University of Florida, Danny Wuerffel, the Wuerffel Trophy is presented in February annually in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The trophy exists to honor college football players who serve others, celebrate their positive impact on society, and inspire greater service in the world.
Brady, who was also named one of 109 nominees for the Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) 2021 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team earlier this month, has played in 38 games over the course of his career with the Tigers, seeing action as the team's primary holder.
