Memphis used a big second half to cruise to an 83-65 win over Grambling State Thursday night at FedExForum. Dedric Lawson was the Tigers leading scorer for the second time this season, posting 16 points and six rebounds.
After a slow start to the game, Memphis held just a four-point advantage at half but used a 24-7 run to open the second half. The Tigers led by as many as 25 points in the game after blowing it open at the start of the second period.
Four Memphis players scored in double figures. KJ Lawson scored a career high 13 points on 8-of-10 free throws, while Trahson Burrell and Ricky Tarrant, Jr.
