MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- University of Memphis seniors and have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, an honor announced this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Bawden, from Hockley, England, and Harris, from Jackson, Tenn., were among a record number of student-athletes earning All-America Scholar status. The record total included 265 Division 1 honorees, 126 in Division II and 23 at the NAIA level.
To be eligible, an individual must: be a junior or senior academically; compete in at last three full years at the collegiate level; participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds; have a stroke average of less than 76.
