MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In the first day of the 2019 fall signing period, Memphis baseball announced the addition of local standout BJ Banyon.
Banyon, a native of Bartlett, anchored the outfield for the Panthers, lettering four years and helping the squad to a 33-14 record in his senior season.
In 2019, Banyon guided Bartlett High School to a district and regional title, while the Panthers finished as a state semifinalist. He also helped lead Bartlett to a district championship in 2018.
"BJ brings athleticism, speed and high baseball IQ into the program, and we are thrilled with his decision to become a Tiger," head coach Daron Schoenrock said.
