MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis defensive lineman Jaylon Allen was named to the Lombardi Award Watchlist on Tuesday, the Lombardi Award, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Houston, announced. The Lombardi Award goes annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman who exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Vince Lombardi in addition to outstanding performance and ability.
In 2022, Allen started all 13 games for the Tigers, totaling 58 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks, one fumble recovery, one interception, six quarterback hurries and one pass breakup on the year, leading the team in tackles for loss and sacks.
