TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Playing in their final road game of the week, the Tigers traveled south to take on the Crimson Tide of Alabama. While the Memphis offense was able to recover in the second half, the Alabama lead was too much for the Tigers to recover from and they suffered the 71-44 loss.
Following tonight's game, Memphis moves to 6-2 overall.
The Alabama offense challenged Memphis' defense, taking an 8-0 lead to open the first quarter and take a lead as large as 14. Along with their offense, the Crimson Tide defense held the Tigers to just 13 points in the first 10 minutes of play.
