PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the third time this season, University of Memphis freshman forward was recognized by the American Athletic Conference.
Achiuwa was named to the league's weekly honor roll Monday, one week after earning Freshman of the Week honors. Achiuwa led the Tigers to a 97-55 victory over the University of New Orleans Saturday at FedExForum behind his fifth double-double of the season. Achiuwa finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds – both team highs – in leading the Tigers to their ninth consecutive victory.
Achiuwa is averaging 14.3 points and a league-leading 9.
