MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The American Athletic Conference announced Friday the women's basketball scheduling model for the 2018-19 conference season. This will be the second-straight season of the current model with 12 teams where each team will play five of its 11 opponents, twice, and six opponents once.
This is the third season The American has had a 16-game conference schedule after the league's head coaches voted for the change at the 2015 American Athletic Conference spring meetings. The move allows more flexibility in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Memphis will welcome UCF, Houston, and Temple in home-only contests while taking on UConn, USF, and SMU on the road only.
