In the most defining moment of his fledgling NBA career, the first thing Grizzlies rookie point guard Andrew Harrison could think about was how frustrated he felt this time a year ago.

He was a second-round pick in the 2015 draft. He was unsigned through the summer and wasn’t brought in for training camp because the Grizzlies didn’t have an available roster. The team felt he needed to develop, but wanted to maintain his draft rights.

Ultimately, Harrison was re-routed to the Grizzlies’ D-League affiliate in Iowa. But not before he arrived at FedExForum on the night of last year’s season opener against Cleveland.
