Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal confirmed Allen is out with the knee injury, although Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post noted he was questionable before the game, so he could be back relatively soon.
The Grizzlies have made a living by playing stingy defense over years, and Allen has long represented the key to the team's aggressive ways.
