The Memphis Grizzlies got rocked on Monday night in Oakland, losing 119-69 to a Golden State Warriors team that is still on cloud nine following their first NBA title in 40 years. There are two ways the Grizzlies can view this loss: A bad night at the office or an indication of something much more serious. Given that the Grizzlies also got crushed by the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-76 in their home opener, I tend to think it’s the latter.
If it is the latter, what can the Grizzlies do to remedy the situation? The answer is simple and yet not so simple: Score the basketball better.
