With the Grizzlies coping with injuries on the wing, former lottery pick Josh Jackson has moved a significant step closer to restoring his career on an NBA roster.
Jackson was called up from the G League’s Memphis Hustle and will join the Grizzlies for Tuesday’s home game against the Denver Nuggets, team officials confirmed Monday. The versatile small forward has appeared in 26 games for the Hustle this season and has averaged 20.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 steals.
Originally drafted No. 4 overall by Phoenix in 2017, the 6-8 Jackson was acquired by the Grizzlies in a trade last summer that sent Jevon Carter and Kyle Korver to the Suns.
