The Memphis Grizzlies are without Mike Conley, Brandan Wright, Chandler Parsons, James Ennis and Zach Randolph (bereavement). Fellow Beale Street Bears writer Jack Spillman has stated, “It’s like last year but with max contracts.”
The Memphis Grizzlies must get a good break at some point, right? Well, the NBA has rewarded the Grizz an “injury exception.” With rookies Andrew Harrison and Wade Baldwin covering for Conley, a veteran point guard was at the top of the Christmas list. Luckily, for Memphis, Christmas came early, as they’ll sign Toney Douglas this weekend.
Update: No leading. He's the guy the Grizz will sign to injury roster exception.
