Summer league is a lot of things. It’s used to help young players get better. It’s an opportunity for guys to find a place in the league. Summer league is when every basketball fan tries to go all analytic and form opinions based off exhibition games.
In their matchup against the Washington Wizards, the young Memphis Grizzlies looked pretty inconsistent. The game was overall sloppy, but did you expect anything different in Summer League action. However, one bright spot was Wayne Selden.
The late-season addition for the Grizz showed that he deserves some legitimate playing time in the NBA.
