The Memphis Grizzlies have had a lot of opportunity for rest over the All-Star break, with the USA vs. World game on the first day of the break. Because of that, it’s reasonable to assume that they’ve been using the week to prepare for those games circled in red marker.
Memphis was able to build a little bit of breathing room towards the end of the pre All-Star period of the season, and they currently sit in the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a four game lead over the ninth seed Portland Trail Blazers.
Still, four games is only a small gap in the tough Western Conference, and a few key losses could leave the Grizzlies going fishing when April rolls around.
