The Memphis Grizzlies started the game off well for a team without their best big man in Jaren Jackson Jr. Memphis for the most part entered this game as underdogs, and having the absence of Jackson did not help. That did not stop them to start the first quarter.
Deyonta Davis started the Grizzlies scoring off, scoring adding four of the Grizzlies first six of the game. Memphis shot 44 percent from the field in the first five minutes, and passed the ball very well. On top of passing the ball, Memphis did not settle for outside shots, and Kobi Simmons played the drive game very well.
