It’s true that there’s a clear gap of talent between the Grizzlies and Sixers, but in terms of effort they may be on the same plane in Sunday night’s contest.
Even though the Sixers have lost 17 straight games and haven’t won this season, they’ve held late leads in a decent number of contests. They just haven’t figured out how to close games yet.
That could change if the Grizzlies underestimate their opponents and don’t get rolling at the right time. Memphis is used to playing against tougher opponents in the Western Conference, so a game against the lowly 76ers might not be the best thing for a team that’s won six of its last eight games.
