The Memphis Grizzlies made an unexpected move during this summer’s free agency by picking up Minnesota Timberwolves guard Tyus Jones. Minnesota had extended a qualifying offer to Jones, making him a restricted free agent, and after the big year he had for the Wolves the general consensus was that Jones would re-sign. However, Memphis offered Jones a 3 year, $28 million contract, and Minnesota did not match the offer, so now Jones is a part of the Memphis bench.
Still, after his career year last season, there have to be some questions as to how much he will produce for the Grizzlies.
