The Memphis Grizzlies re-assigned forward Jarell Martin to the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Iowa Energy, Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace announced.
The 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft following his sophomore season at Louisiana State, Martin (6-10, 239) has logged nine minutes with the Grizzlies over the first two games of his NBA career. This marks the 21-year-old’s third assignment to Iowa, where he posted 11 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes against the Reno Bighorns in his D-League debut on Dec. 23.
