The Memphis Grizzlies played the 15th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Game against the Chicago Bulls Monday night at FedExForum. The game included a special presentation of the 12th Annual National Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy Award to basketball greats Grant Hill, Steve Smith and the second-ever female honoree, Lisa Leslie.
The Grizzlies had a three-game home winning streak snapped, 108-104, against the Chicago Bulls in a game that featured 16 lead changes and was tied 11 times, five of those ties in the fourth quarter alone. With 1:33 left in the game and tied at 100-100 after Mike Conley’s two free throws, Taj Gibson’s cutting dunk brought the Bulls up two points.
