Starting off a six-game road trip, the Memphis Grizzlies fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 112-109 at Moda Center Friday.
The Grizzlies struggled in the first half with Portland leading by as many as 18. However, Memphis was able to chip away at the gap throughout regulation and finally take the lead at the start of the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies and Trail Blazers battled for the lead throughout the period, but in a tough effort, Memphis ultimately fell as time expired.
2017 NBA All-Star Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 32 points and eight rebounds.
