As part of his game-day preparation, Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley posted a photo on social media of him as a child standing with Michael Jordan some 25 years ago on a golf course. Along with the photo was a message in which Conley, who signed an endorsement deal in the offseason with Jordan’s Nike brand, expressed excitement for wearing the company’s latest signature basketball shoes for the Grizzlies’ debut Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves at FedExForum. “Growing up, I idolized MJ and now I get the chance to be a part of the Jordan brand family,” Conley wrote on his Twitter post Wednesday morning.
