The Memphis Grizzlies had representation via Mike Conley in the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend’s Taco Bell Skills Challenge on Saturday evening.
Breaking out of his sweats, Conley decided to wear this season’s new gray and yellow “GNG” Grizzlies uniform. It was a nice touch that reminded the field of where Mike has been and where he is coming from. After all, his event introduction included the announcer proclaiming Conley has the “pride of the Grindhouse.”
Though he was an underdog in the competition in comparison to the young Rising Stars, Mike Conley fell just shy of defeating the competition’s eventual victor in the second overall match of first round action.
