For the second straight year the Memphis Grizzlies fell short of expectations, failing to even win a playoff series this season. While injuries and off-court shenanigans had a big part to play in the team’s early exit in six games against LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers, it also seemed as though this young and exciting team simply did not have enough experience to make a deep playoff run.
With playoff exits in the first or second round in each of the last three years, it could be time for Memphis to shake things up a little bit. They’re likely looking to build around their core of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.
