For the second straight Labor Day weekend, Maryland football exited Saturday with a win over the Texas Longhorns, this time 34-29.
After the win, interim head coach Matt Canada, starting quarterback Kasim Hill and senior receiver Taivon Jacobs spoke to the media.
“Tremendous win by our players,” Canada said to open the press conference. “Just a tremendous job. It was a back-and-forth game. Great credit to Texas, a very good football team. Obviously we jumped out on them early and they came back. We made some mistakes and did some things that didn’t go quite as well as we wanted them to go.
