After his trade to the Atlanta Hawks was officially processed on Saturday, former Maryland center Bruno Fernando made his NBA summer league debut on Sunday night.
In a 90-66 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Fernando started the game at center and played 26 minutes, third-most on the team, before fouling out. Despite an ample amount of time on the court, the 20-year-old took just five field goals, making two, and splitting a pair of free throws to finish with five points. He did, however, throw down his first professional slam in the second quarter.
