The Spalding defensive back committed to Maryland this past summer alongside quarterback and teammate Malik Washington. Shipps and the Cavaliers won their third straight MIAA A title last season. The three-star prospect is the No. 37-ranked recruit in Maryland, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Shipps discussed his commitment to the Terps and his relationship with Washington.
