Two No. 18 Maryland women’s basketball players — Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu and Breanna Williams — will redshirt the 2024-25 season, the team announced Friday.
Ozzy-Momodu, a junior who transferred this offseason from Gulf Coast State, decided to redshirt because she is still recovering from an ACL tear she suffered in February.
“Recovering from an ACL injury is a long process. I have unbelievable support from my family, my teammates and my coaches here,” Ozzy-Momodu said in the team’s statement. “This is the best decision to get ready for my future here as a Terp.”
Ozzy-Momodu spent two seasons with Gulf Coast State before transferring to Maryland this year.
