The star of the Terrapins' 2016 class is already making an impression at the top-level event.
Maryland four-star quarterback commit Dwayne Haskins, from Potomac (Md.) Bullis School, is in Oregon this week for Nike's The Opening and Elite 11 finals. For more coverage on the week's events, make sure to follow along with myself and Bud Elliott, both in Oregon for the festivities.
The Elite 11 portion started Monday, with Haskins competing alongside fellow blue-chip prospects like Malik Henry (committed to Florida State), Shea Patterson (Ole Miss) and Jacob Eason (Georgia). Those three may be five-star recruits, but Haskins held on his own on the first day.
