The top-ranked Maryland women's lacrosse team won on the road at No. 2 Florida on Saturday, 14-4, blowing out the team closest to it in national rankings. The Terps moved to a perfect 6-0 on the season and will remain atop national polling as they continue their national title defense.
Caroline Wannen scored four goals and chipped in three assists for Maryland. Kacie Longo, Jen Giles and Zoe Stukenberg added two goals apiece, as Maryland outshot Florida 31-16. The Terps' free-position shot edge was 7-1, and they controlled 15 draws to five for the Gators. Statistically speaking, it was a dominant outing for Cathy Reese's team.
