Maryland will host Purdue for homecoming with kickoff coming at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, the school announced Wednesday.
The only previous meeting between the teams was in the 2006 Champs Sports Bowl when quarterback Sam Hollenbach threw for two touchdowns, and running back Lance Ball rushed for 98 yards in a 24-7 Terps win over the Boilermakers.
Purdue was 2-10 last season.
The matchup is also the opener of Maryland's nine-game Big Ten Conference schedule, and it comes after a bye week that follows its three-game nonconference slate.
