Maryland football has secured a commitment from three-star Class of 2022 quarterback Jayden Sauray, he announced Monday.
A product of nearby Dr. Henry Wise High School, Sauray sits at 0.8676 on the 247 Sports Composite, coming in as the No. 12 dual-threat quarterback, No. 17 prospect in Maryland and No. 620 prospect nationally for his class.
Sauray chose the Terps over offers from Boston College, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
As a sophomore during the 2019 season, Sauray completed 65% of his passes for 1,988 passing yards, 402 rushing yards, 41 total touchdowns and just five interceptions as he led the Pumas to the Maryland Class 4A state championship.
