After facing a tumultuous offseason, Maryland football kicked off its 2018 campaign with a 34-29 win over No. 23 Texas on Saturday at FedEx Field. The Terps were the only unranked team to knock off a ranked opponent on opening weekend.
With the win, the Terps briefly get a reprieve from the turmoil that’s followed the team since Jordan McNair’s death. Maryland weathered multiple comebacks and a rain delay to come out victorious and sweep the home-and-home against the Longhorns.
