When this week started, Maryland was on the outside looking in in the Big Ten title race. Then No. 5 Ohio State lost in overtime at Minnesota. All of a sudden, Maryland simply had to win both of their games this week for a share of the Big Ten title. When the Buckeyes fell in triple overtime at Michigan State earlier this weekend, the Terrapins had a chance to have the title all to themselves. They took advantage by absolutely clobbering the Golden Gophers at home on senior day.
This is the second straight Big Ten Championship for Maryland women's basketball.
