As Maryland’s quarterback competition remained center-stage during Tuesday’s practice, junior wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo looked as if he had no problem remaining in the background, continuing his push to be the team’s top target on the perimeter. That cause began to pick up steam midway through last season when he started the final six games and showed glimpses of his potential – including a 71-yard touchdown catch against Rutgers in the team’s regular-season finale.
Etta-Tawo looks like a more polished product during fall camp, emerging as a probable starter in a passing game that has confronted plenty of questions in the past month.
