In the race for Maryland's starting quarterback job, the characters have remained the same throughout the first two weeks of fall camp, but the roles have changed on a near-daily basis as coach Randy Edsall works to decide between Caleb Rowe, Perry Hills and Daxx Garman.
So far, Edsall is content on letting his players choose their own path and write their own endings. But with Saturday's open scrimmage looming, he's still waiting for someone to take charge, to step up and seize the job. And if no one takes ownership, then it'll be up to Edsall and his coaching staff to make a decision that could significantly alter the course of the season.
